Mehdi has been immersed in the rhythmic world of percussion since childhood. He began his musical journey with the Tombak, a traditional Persian drum, which laid the foundation for his deep understanding and appreciation of rhythm. His passion for beats and grooves led him to explore a wide range of percussion instruments, including the Cajon, Congas, Bongos, and drums.
Mehdi had the unique opportunity to live in South America for a period, where he absorbed the rich cultural influences of Flamenco and Spanish music. During his time there, he played with local bands, further enriching his musical repertoire and enhancing his ability to blend different styles seamlessly.
As a lifelong learner, Mehdi has expanded his musical knowledge beyond percussion. He has dabbled in piano, which has helped him to develop a deeper understanding of harmony and melody. His commitment to continuous learning also led him to delve into music theory, allowing him to approach music with a well-rounded perspective.
Mehdi's journey as a musician is ongoing. He actively performs and records with various bands, bringing his unique blend of rhythmic precision and creative flair to each project.
In addition to performing, Mehdi is passionate about sharing his love for music with others. He has been teaching percussion for several years, inspiring students of all ages to discover the joy of making music. Mehdi believes that having fun is a key component of learning music, and he strives to create a positive and engaging learning environment for his students.
