Program Information

The flute is a highly popular instrument, and we offer many exciting musical opportunities for students. Whether you're just starting or continuing your education, our certified educators are here to help. Our unique approach ensures a fast and practical learning experience for students of all ages.

Each flute lesson is a one-on-one session with a teacher, available in 30, 45, or 60-minute increments. Parents are welcome to attend their child's lessons.

Goals

Our goal is to help students reach their highest musical potential through private lessons. We focus on building a strong foundation in technique and selecting the right repertoire. Beginners start with basics like breath control, holding the flute, tone production, and finger placement. Intermediate students learn clear sound production, articulation, and various tunes. Advanced students refine long tones, intervals, ornamentation, vibrato, and significant repertoire.

Our flute classes cover:

  • Note reading and recognition
  • Counting and rhythm reading
  • Technique (scales, arpeggios, trills, dynamics)
  • Sight reading
  • Rudiments of Theory
  • Memorization
  • Ear training

Repertoire

Choosing the right repertoire is key to musical development. We work on pieces in categories like etudes, unaccompanied works, concertos, variations, and short pieces. Students learn music from various eras.
