Behnaz was born into an artistic family. Her father, a pre-revolutionary santur player and a member of the National Orchestra of Iran, was her first teacher. She holds a university degree in music and studied the connection between poetry and music under the guidance of Maestro Hossein Dehlavi, one of Iran’s most prominent composers. Her primary instrument is the cello.

In 2014, she performed with the Tehran Academic Orchestra in a concert honoring Maestro Homayoun Khorram and also participated in the Fajr Music Festival at Vahdat Hall.

In 2011, Behnaz earned her Orff Teaching Certificate from Pars Music Academy and later attended Orff courses with Mrs. Soudabeh Salem and Mrs. Nozhat Amiri. She has taught children’s music in international kindergartens and schools in Tehran and has over 14 years of experience teaching music to children.

To better understand and connect with her students, Behnaz has participated in multiple child psychology workshops. She has also worked as a music instructor at Nasser Cheshm Azar Music Academy.

Her teaching approach blends music, play, storytelling, and art. She designs engaging and purposeful games for different age groups to help children enhance their listening skills, concentration, and self-confidence while developing a strong sense of rhythm.

Behnaz also fosters creativity by encouraging students to make instruments from recycled materials. She teaches music reading and theory in a playful yet structured way and works with children ages three and up. Her lessons include xylophone, recorder, and piano — all taught through creative and enjoyable methods.
