Pedram Bolourchi is a highly respected Tombak instructor and expert in Persian music, with a BA in Music focusing on Iranian instruments. He has been teaching Tonbak since 1993 and is affiliated with esteemed music institutes such as "Rood" and "Veda" (Kamkars) since 2014. Pedram’s teaching is deeply rooted in his extensive background and experience in Persian music, making him a valuable resource for students interested in mastering this traditional art form.
Pedram studied under renowned masters Bahman Rajabi and Jahangir Malek, and has over 20 years of vocal experience, learning from experts like Mr. Mohsen Keramati and Mehdi Fallah. His teaching integrates both vocal and instrumental techniques, providing a comprehensive approach to Persian music.
In addition to his teaching career, Pedram has been actively performing since 1995. He founded the Iranian music group "Golha" in 2009, leading performances across Iran and internationally, including in Armenia, Greece, South Africa, the Netherlands, France, India, Sweden, Uzbekistan, Norway, and Portugal. His performances highlight his deep connection to Persian music and his ability to convey its rich traditions to diverse audiences.
Pedram holds a Grade 1 Artistic Degree from the House of Music of Iran and has collaborated with prominent Iranian musicians such as Farhang Sharif and Anoushiravan Rohani. He established the Mehriyan Music Group in 2016, where he serves as leader, composer, and vocalist, further demonstrating his commitment to advancing Persian music.
His contributions to the field are also reflected in his work on several albums, where he showcases his skills as a Tonbak player and composer. Notable albums include "Hamdelie" by Siamak Eghani and "Negar-e Nazgar" by Seyed Shahabeddin Rouhani and Azad Mirzapour.
Pedram has been recognized as an outstanding young artist in notable publications such as "Memorable Faces" by Forough Bahmanpour and "The Image of Iranian Artists" (Volume 6) by Mr. Nasirifar.
